What is IRF6-Related Disorders?

IRF6-Related Disorders is a group of rare genetic disorders caused by mutations in the IRF6 gene. These disorders include Van der Woude Syndrome, Popliteal Pterygium Syndrome, and Isolated Cleft Lip and/or Palate. These disorders are characterized by cleft lip and/or palate, as well as other facial and dental abnormalities.

What are the symptoms of IRF6-Related Disorders?

The symptoms of IRF6-related disorders vary depending on the specific disorder, but may include cleft lip and/or palate, syndactyly (fused fingers or toes), abnormal development of the face, scalp, and/or skull, and/or other craniofacial abnormalities.
