About Asherman’s Syndrome

What is Ashermans Syndrome?

Asherman's Syndrome is a condition in which the uterine walls become scarred and adhered to each other, resulting in the formation of bands of scar tissue. This can lead to infertility, recurrent miscarriages, and other complications. It is usually caused by trauma to the uterus, such as from a D&C (dilation and curettage) procedure, or from infection. Treatment typically involves surgery to remove the scar tissue.
